Meet Our Inspiration
Ebony Monette McCrae-Curley was only 33 years-old at the time of her untimely passing on April 15, 2017 from a tragic accident. Ebony was passionate about finding ways to help young people build confidence and live their best and fullest life. She was a woman whose true beauty was not only outside but inside as well. Her passion for helping others was contagious, a passion caught by Through Ebony’s Eyes.
Ebony began her career in fashion in 2013, and in her 5 short years with Nordstrom Rack, Ebony’s perseverance and personality allowed her to rise in the organization from a temporary seasonal hire in the West Hartford store to Department Manager in the Phipps Plaza store in Atlanta, Georgia.
Ebony lived through her faith and openly acknowledged the favor with which she was continually blessed. Ebony was an example of courage, determination, strength, conviction, and devotion. Ebony will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and co-workers, but it is the intention of Through Ebony’s Eyes to keep not just her memory alive but to perpetuate her inspiring attitude and generosity as well in order to be the change in the world she sought to create.
